About the role

We are looking for an Operations Assistant for our Operations & Transport department. As the Operations Assistant you will be responsible for overseeing a number of responsibilities listed below.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate HGV drivers based on weekly and monthly film production schedules.
• Liaise with Production Heads of Department (HODs), internal teams, and agencies to confirm transport requirements.
• Be in contact with all of our preferred Driving Agencies, keeping them up to date with our required driver bookings.
• Keep our internal Auto Vehicle Movement database up to date with all movements from our depot and out on location. 
• Collate and organise all paperwork to do with driver movements, ensuring we have all documentation and receipts to be able our Accounts team to charge onto our clients. 
• Book taxis for drivers when required.
• Support incident response processes, including initial reporting and follow-up actions reporting to the relevant department.

Required skills and qualifications

• Good understanding of HGV operations, including driver hours legislation, road safety, and compliance standards.
• Experience in transport planning.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and coordination ability.
• Working knowledge of tachograph systems and DVSA standards.
• Proficient in using IT systems, including email, spreadsheets (Excel), transport software
