Permanent, full/part-time role based in Addlestone, Surrey, KT15 3LJ

Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm with an element of flexible working.

About us

We are looking for HGV Workshop Manager for our Fitters Workshop.

Objectives of this role

• To manage a team of HGV Mechanics
• Oversee daily running of workshop
• Sign off works carried out to vehicles
• Work closely with Transport Managers
• Assess vehicles and/ or light machinery
• Perform major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles in the company fleet
• Perform regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes
• To carry out PMI’s 
• To prep vehicles for MOT
• 24 breakdown cover on a rota basis
• Maintain records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled
  

Required skills and qualifications 

• Min of 5 years’ experience in a similar industry
• Ability to manage a team of mechanics
• Ability to oversee works carried out
• Ability to diagnose problems effectively
• Always Work to MOT standards
• Experience in servicing HGVs
• HGV Class 1 License desirable but not essential
